Storm Clouds Brand Update Vol. 4 (1/05/25)
Share
Ok so here's an update after it's been a few weeks since I officially released the brand.
TikTok is my friend and my enemy! Instagram is just my enemy.
Coming from a guy who does not make a habit of posting on social media, I feel like I'm just diving into the deep end immediately. Naturally I knew it wasn't gonna be an instant success out the gate and I know it'll take time and a lot of consistency, but forward momentum has been really slow.
Instagram is definitely killing me and I still haven't figured out how I'm supposed to reach any type of audience out there with just organic content and no real budget. Tiktok has been a lot kinder to me as I have figured out ways to at least reach a few more people than I can on Instagram but it's also been a slow grind.
Granted I still haven't utilized some of my other branding/marketing ideas yet, so I'm not beat yet! It's just easy to get discouraged when you feel like nothing's working.
My brand needs a consistent theme/aesthetic
So far on my brand social's, I've kinda been all over the place trying to come up with ideas that I think people would watch and that I can shoot solo without using my face as little as possible. What I need to do is build a consistent aesthetic for when people go to the page to look at my other content.
I've been tryna experiment with nighttime shooting and editing, which I thought I needed a portable light to shoot with, but it turns out this phone captures light at night fairly successfully. So what I want to do is archive a lot of my current material and turn the accounts into 80% nighttime aesthetic and break it up with 20% everything else.
And I want to start that before I start using the content from my 2 current influencers. I just want it to feel more like a brand.
Welcome to 2025! Let's see what this year has in store!
I'm writing this on January 5th of 2025, 5 days after new years. I don't like to really think about the distant future too much because I have to create the future with my hard work. A lot can go wrong, but a lot can go right as well. I just want to come back to these early posts and think about how much has changed.
If you haven't yet, find a way to document your life somehow. Whether it be written or photographed or recorded, keep a record! Show the world what you've done with your time on earth.
Alright that's all for now,
Later Days! (Still don't know if anyone knows this reference)
