Storm Clouds Brand Update Vol. 2 (11/06/24)
Share
Hey, what's going on everybody? Ok so the official drop is taking a bit longer than expected. Luckily for me, absolutely no one is anticipating Storm Clouds yet, which gives me all the time I need to perfect it.
What now? Finally getting my first drop shipment
So, the agenda for today is finally getting access to the full shipment. It's been ready to ship since August when I first placed the shipment order so now that it's finally coming, it almost feels too good to be true. Unfortunately, I don't have an office space or anything so it's being dropped off to my apartment. Luckily, I live alone, and I got pretty high ceilings so I'm hoping there's enough space to move around and still keep everything in the house.
Also, looks like I'll be trying to move all this crap by myself, cause I'm stubborn and super overprotective, which puts everything back on my shoulders. Maybe I can pay this truck driver to help me out lol. I honestly don't even know how much stuff there is to move. I'm assuming a lot cause these bags are pretty big. I'll take a picture of the shipment itself and then after I put everything in the house.
Photoshop Therapy
The last thing I wanted to update you guys on was the thing that's been slowly driving me mad for a week straight. I went ahead and downloaded the free trial of Photoshop cause I wanted to make some fun promo posters for my brand.
My first issue is that I've been using this Microsoft surface since 2019 when I first got it. I still love it, but this processor is not fast enough to keep up with the constant changes. The second thing is that most of the tutorials of the cool design ideas I've seen online just aren't compatible with the product photos I've been taken. I'll literally work on a design idea for hours on end just to have to scrap it and move on to another idea.
Like I mentioned before, I'm stubborn so I may slowly unravel inside but I don't give up easily. I finally came up with a brutalism style poster for the Alpha White Duffle that I'm really proud of. I figured out a way to make the product look like a paper cutout from a magazine or something. I think it looks pretty cool.
Moving on...
So, we're moving full steam ahead now. I think that by the time I write another one of these, I think we'll be open for business! Maybe somebody will read one of these posts or maybe I'm just writing to myself, but either way I don't mind.
If I had a word of advice to my younger self, I'd probably tell him to stop waiting for perfect and start making memories now! Preserve what you can by doing something worthwhile that you can look back on when you're old and feeble and see what you made out of the life you were given. I don't know if that applies to anyone else but if it does then you know what to do.
I'll be back soon enough,
Later Days!
